Faith In Humanity Is Restored When Worker Gives Blind Customer $20 After Theft
A Dairy Queen employee has been praised for his kindness after helping a blind customer.
Employee Joey Prusak witnessed a blind customer drop a $20 bill. Shockingly, another customer in the store picked it up and instead of handing it over like Joey expected, she put it in her purse.
The 19-year old explained how he asked the lady politely to give the money back to its rightful owner, but she refused. So he then calmly asked her to leave the store. He refused to serve her, and rightly so. However, not content with just standing up to the thief, the employee then took a $20 dollar bill from his OWN wallet and gave it to the man – who didn’t even realise he’d dropped any money.
Joey wasn’t looking for any praise, he said “I was just doing what I thought was right’. He didn’t tell anyone about what he had done other than the other employee in the store. It wasn’t until another customer saw the incident and sent an email to Dairy Queen that he was hailed a hero.
His act of kindness has gone viral, and he is getting the recognition that he deserves.
