Pictures Of What People Eat In Hospitals Around The World
Spending time in a hospital is never a fun experience. The whole idea of hospitals are not very nice! There are tests, needles, probes, etc… and then if you are staying… there is the FOOD. I can’t say I’ve ever spoken to anyone who’s had a nice meal there. And though of course it’s not a 5 star restaurant, you’d think the food they serve should at least be nutritional.
So let’s check out hospital meals from around the world…. Who has it worst and who’s fine dinning?!
1. United Kingdom – While I’m not sure about the other different countries, here you can see there is a menu. So, this patient went for minestrone soup, mashed potatoes, and a beef, onion pastry. Not forgetting the banana of course!
2.Germany – That is one good meal. Schnitzel (which is a thin slice of meat) with a side of dumpling noodles, salad, a slice of cake and a dessert pudding!
3.Japan, Osaka – The entire meal looks like it has come straight out of a restaurant. It looks super healthy and very filling with lots of different dishes.
4. Poland – This is dinner… Bread and butter with a small piece of cucumber and a chunk of sausage.
5. Sweden – This looks like a wholesome meal, chicken, rice and veg with some sort of sauce/curry. Shame about the pudding, but the orange is good for you so cant complain.
6. United Arab Emirates – Let’s be honest, in UAE you expect nothing less than this. It looks like a 5-star restaurant. This patient posted that they received pork tenderloin with mango salsa… sounds delicious!
7.The Netherlands – According to the patient who posted this photo this meal was even served by a professional cook and he said nothing but good things about his stay in the hospital. For this meal, he had white fish with green beans and mashed potatoes.
8. Canada – While this isn’t the traditional food of Canada they look like they’ve tried to spice things up with steamed rice and sweet and sour pork with bok choy
9. Australia, Sidney – This meal doesn’t look so bad. There is a prepackaged pumpkin soup, peas, mashed potatoes, and a pile of something that resembles the apricot chicken…
