I have trust issues because people have lying issues

Why do some people find it easier to lie than to just tell the truth? Why can they go to lengths to make up an elaborate story rather than just explain their genuine reasoning behind their actions. This is what gives people all the insecurities. Because after catching out the first few lies, it becomes increasingly harder to believe any thing they say. What is real and what is made up for their own benefit? Because that is the reality; It is only ever for their own benefit. None of their lies are for you because deep down they know it will hurt you in the end. Finding out the truth later on is only delaying the evitable and drawing out the hurt.

Don’t feel bad for having trust issues, this is a coping mechanism that is designed to protect yourself.
