Son Asks His Mother To Prom Because She Missed Hers
Belinda Smith, 41, missed her own senior prom back in 1991 because her family was unable to afford a dress following her mother’s death. “Every day after school leading up to prom I cried, I just wanted to go so bad” she told ABC News.
Now, 24 years later, she’s finally going to get to go. And the guy who asked her is her son, Danotiss.
Danotiss told ABC that he “felt like it was right to ask her cause she couldn’t go to her prom. She couldn’t afford it back then so I thought it would be pretty sweet to ask her.”
“Some of my friends thought it was pretty cool that I’m taking my Mom. Some said it’s kind of weird.”
What a lovely young man that this Mom has raised. Props to her for doing such a good job. I am sure with such a big heart he will go far in life. We wish him all the best in the future. He deserves the recognition for his lovely gesture. And his beautiful Mom Belinda will finally get her chance to dance.
