Police Are Called On Boy Selling “Ice Cold Beer”
One warm summers day, a young entrepreneur from Brigham City, Utah, set up a drink kiosk that quickly caused quite a stir.
At first glance, it seemed like the young man was selling beer. On one hand, this seemed like a savvy business move—who doesn’t crave a cold drink on a scorching afternoon? But then, there was the issue of him being underage and likely operating without a liquor license, which understandably raised concerns.
Naturally, concerned neighbors and onlookers called the police to shut down the seemingly illegal operation.
The Brigham City Police Department responded swiftly, ready to take action.
However, after a closer look at his sign, they realized the young man wasn’t selling beer at all. In fact, he was offering root beer.

The officers let him continue his business, and it seems that the lad’s clever marketing had the desired effect—his stand is thriving, even when the law isn’t involved.
“The clever marketing led to several calls to the BCPD, but it’s clearly paying off, as business is booming,” the Brigham City Police wrote in a Facebook post.
It’s safe to say this young man has a promising future in advertising.
