Have you ever realised that a woman’s ‘I’ll be ready in five minutes’ and a man’s ‘I’ll be home in five minutes’ are exactly the same!
I am not a nagging wife as I know I have my flaws too. So I am viewing this from both perspectives. When I ask my husband how long he will be home from the pub it is always five minutes. That’s cool. However hours later and he still isn’t home! Therefore I have decided a man’s I’ll be 5 mins is the same as a woman’s 5 mins.
Because I am sure there are many men ‘suffering’ with the dreaded wife who takes ages to get ready before going out. Now I’ll admit that I do take a while. But that is only because I spend half my time finding his stuff and getting belongings together that I know he’ll be asking for. Also I have our children to get ready so thats extra people. Then I get myself ready. So when he says are we ready to leave, yes it takes me 5 mins plus extra. But thats because I have a hundred and one things to do not just for myself but for others. Also who doesn’t like to make an effort. So I can’t just throw on a t-shirt and be ready. It definitely doesn’t take me hours, but if I’m going out, be sure I’ll make an effort. You can’t rush perfection after all.
