Artist Fixes Sidewalk Potholes With Mosaics
This French artist fills potholes with art and the results are stunning.
This urban art is the work of an artist named Ememem, based in Lyon, France. It is such a beautiful and unique way to fill the potholes and you can’t deny it makes the sidewalks look far better. Each piece is unique and uses different coloured and patterned mosaic tiles depending on the size and shape of the hole being filled.
His beautiful artworks have earned him the nickname of “the pavement surgeon.” His work can be seen all across Europe, including Paris, Rome, Milan and even the Scottish city of Aberdeen.
The artist calls this process “flacking” – a play on the French word flaque, meaning puddle or patch.
Take a look at some of his pieces down below….
He doesn’t only fix sidewalks… Here is an amazing piece that has filled the crack on the corner of a wall.
