Elderly Lady Writes To God For Some Divine Intervention …What Follows Is Priceless

A Post Office worker at the main sorting office finds an unstamped, poorly hand-written envelope addressed to God.

He opens it and discovers it is from an elderly lady, distressed because some thief robbed her of 100 dollars. She wrote that she will be cold and hungry for the rest of the month if she doesn’t receive some divine intervention.

The worker tells the other postal workers of the sad letter from the old lady that was addressed to God. All the workers are saddened, and moved by her letter. They decided to dig deep, and everyone pitched in some cash. They came up with $96.

They get it dispatched to her by special courier the same morning.

A week later, the same postal worker recognizes the same hand writing on another envelope. At lunch, he gathers all the other workers around, and he opens the letter.

It reads, “Dear God, Thank you for the 100 dollars. This month would have been so bleak otherwise. It was enough to pay for heating, and some food.”

At this point, the man paused from reading the letter, and joined the other workers in smiling and patting each other on the back. Then he continued reading,

“P S. It was four dollars short, but that was probably because of those thieving B4$t4rd$ at the Post Office.”
